A warm welcome to Fourwinds Bed and Breakfast, Taupo

Situated on the northern slopes of Lake Taupo, Fourwinds is a charming bed and breakfast that has panoramic views over the town, lake and mountains.  The property is just a short walk or drive from the Taupo township and the major Taupo sightseeing attractions.

Your Hostess Catherine enjoys meeting people from all countries. Her interests include travel, reading, music and gardening.  She loves sharing her knowledge of New Zealand with guests but more importantly really enjoys learning about your part of the world.  Ambee, the house cat, is very affectionate and just adores meeting new guests.

Only 1 booking accommodated at any one time in a double or twin room assuring visitors of personal service and attention to detail.  The rooms have large wardrobes with ample shelving and storage for luggage and belongings. 

Both rooms look out to a small-enclosed garden, which has mature trees and is a very peaceful place to sit, read a book or just relax. The private bathroom is spacious with both shower and bath. The toilet is in a separate room.  A bathroom heater, heated towel rail and hair dryer are available for guests use.  All towels and face washers are changed daily. 

Cooked or continental breakfasts are served in the dining room, which overlooks the panoramic view.   The continental breakfast is self-service and includes a range of fresh fruits, juices, yoghurts and cereals.  Your cooked breakfast is served to you at the table.

Tea & coffee making facilities are available all day from the breakfast buffet in the dining room and guests are welcome to enjoy their drinks sitting on the deck overlooking the gorgeous view or in the lounge beside the floor to ceiling picture window.  

Laundry facilities are available to guests, at a small charge, to cover the cost of electricity and wear and tear on the washing machine.  Drying facilities are available in the back garden on the clothesline or if the weather is inclement washing can be dried on clothes airers in the garage.

Fourwinds is a true  “home away from home” experience. At days end relax on the deck and watch the magnificent sunsets over Lake Taupo and the mountains or search the night sky for the Southern Cross constellation.
